Eleverne deles ind i grupper af seks personer. Alle i de enkelte grupper skal spille en rolle: Mother (mum), father (dad), Little John og three little baby bears. Hver gruppe står ved en kegle, og i den anden ende af lokalet, skolegården eller sportspladsen - men højst ti meter væk - står en enkelt kegle placeret. Læreren eller en af eleverne læser nedenstående historie om Little John op. Hver gang ens egen rolle i historien bliver nævnt, løber man hen rundt om keglen. Husk at læse langsomt og tydeligt.
"Little John with Mum and Dad in Zoo. In school, a friend told Little John a story about three little baby bears that he had seen in the Zoo. Little John found it very exciting. When his father picked him up the same afternoon, he told about the three baby bears and asked, if he could go to see the three baby bears as well.
His father said that first they had to speak to his mother. Little John's parents talked for a long time and finally agreed with Little John to go to the Zoo on Sunday. Little John could hardly wait and he nagged his mother and father to make Sunday come so they could go and see the three baby bears.
At last Sunday came and Little John was so happy. His mother and father packed a nice lunch for Little John and themselves. Then they were ready to go. Quickly, Little John climbed into the car and called for his mother and father: 'Ready to go - hurry up, Mum and Dad. We want to go.' And then his mother and father were ready to go.
When they came to the Zoo, Little John had barely time to watch the other animals. He only wanted to go and see the three baby bears. His mother and father went to the bear cage to see the three baby bears. And how sweet and nice they were, the three baby bears.Finally, Little John had seen the three baby bears with his mother and father, and in school he could tell that he had been to the Zoo to see the three baby bears.
